What’s in a Name?
Where did Battle Grove come from?
A WEBQUEST by- Maureen C. Matteo May 2oo7
Introduction Task Process Evaluation Conclusion
Introduction
Once upon a time, there were soldiers roaming our North Point neighborhood and cannons along the roadside. Let’s travel back in time and learn what happened right in our own backyards!
Families, this is an opportunity for you to join with your child and experience the history of our
North Point/ Battle Grove community. If it is possible to drive the route from Battle Acre on Old North Point Road to the Fort Howard complex near North Point State Park, please share that awesome experience with them and give them the opportunity to feel connected to the history that we live with everyday. I hope they will come to understand how it is that our school as well as Battle Monument school and General John Stricker Middle school came to have their names.
